EPILOGUE · Techno Session
Barolec + INTRVL
Produced by ME_MMIX Festival
DJ set and sound direction: Barolec
Live visual creation: INTRVL
Barolec and INTRVL take over from Hor-G and Alba Vinton. What began as a musical interpretation of Petroleum —with Ensemble Enigma, Asier Puga and Carles de Castellarnau— and evolved towards the flesh and collective impulse finds its epilogue here: a third movement in which words have disappeared, leaving only rhythm, light and people.
When the Pasolinian RAVE reaches its peak, the evening will not stop: it will transform, seamlessly. Barolec’s set is not a courtesy closing act, but the logical conclusion of a journey that has stripped Pasolini of all literary trappings, leaving only what he himself championed —the body, the night, the periphery, the community that recognises itself through dance. Here, techno is its language.
INTRVL responds with a live visual creation that does not illustrate the sound, but enters into dialogue with it. Image and pulse move in parallel, build tension, drift apart and meet again, opening up a space that is neither concert hall nor club, but a place of convergence.
It is no coincidence that this takes place at the Aljub of Es Baluard Museu. The space that once supplied water to the old city becomes, for one night, a cathedral of physicality and a hub for island electronic music: we fill the reservoir with earthly sounds and elevate them towards the creative spirituality of this temple of Balearic culture.
From the instrumental ensemble to the loudspeaker, from the score to the groove, from spectator to participant: Barolec and INTRVL complete the shift of the divergent and turn it into a shared experience.
