RAVE Pasoliniana
Produced and commissioned by the ME_MMIX Festival
Musical creation and live electronics: Hor-G
Choreography and dance: Alba Vinton
Visuals: Catalina Coromina
The RAVE Pasoliniana is the final — and most radical — gesture in an evening dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini. It stems from a proposal by Asier Puga: to extend the performance of Petroli into a dance-electronics setting, expanding the original idea of a monographic concert into the realm of techno.
The Festival’s artistic direction therefore understands that Pasolini — a figure who saw physicality and collective impulse as spaces of meaning — calls for a fluid and coherent transition towards a shared communal experience.
Hor-G and Alba Vinton join the project with a creative enthusiasm that will make the evening unrepeatable. Hor-G’s musical creation and live electronics will engage in a dialogue with Alba Vinton’s choreography and dance, in a format that is neither concert nor performance, but a communal experience. A RAVE.
Thus, RAVE PASOLINIANA is born.
Earlier in the evening, Ensemble Enigma, conducted by Asier Puga and featuring music by Carles de Castellarnau, will present a musical adaptation of Petroli, the novel by Pier Paolo Pasolini. Following this same principle of continuity, the RAVE Pasoliniana will flow into a third intervention, serving as an epilogue, by Barolec and INTRVL.
