Last Flight Before Extinction (Bubota Música, 2025) is the second work by the alternative jazz trio Geometrical Sardine. With a broad creative spectrum and a strong experimental component, the band explores new sonorities with an imaginary that continues to grow and evolve since Minialien, their debut album. In this new release, techniques of spontaneous creation are combined with classical formats and improvisation, inevitably filtered through a peculiar musical personality that makes their sound unmistakable. Ultimately, the bold exploration of new soundscapes drawn from ancient geological eras, jungles, or video games creates an impossible yet coherent synergy, without losing the innovative essence of this surprising trio.
With the incorporation of Toni Cobos, the band has achieved a live show enhanced with images created by artificial intelligence, which, projected and blended with the music, result in a performance that leaves no one indifferent.
