Gregor Dierck is an internationally awarded violinist, expert in new music repertoire as a
soloist and as member of the Hamburg-based Ensemble Resonanz. He is also very active
a a curator, being the founder and artistic director of the TONarten Sasbachwalden music
festival in the Black Forest.
Dieck has been a member of Ensemble Resonanz since 1999. He has been the section
leader for many years, taking on various solo roles, producing arrangements and
compositions, and have also served on the educational board. Since 2015, the core of the
work has been the resonance room in the lively St. Pauli district, alongside regular
concert series at the Elbe Philharmonic in Hamburg. TONarten Sasbachwalden music
festival was founded by Gregor Dierck in 2007. It offers a wide range of venues and
musical styles amidst beautiful nature, including a highlight: the radio tower of the public
broadcaster SWR, located at the top of the Hornisgrinde mountain.
