Sebastian Schottke (*1979), born in Crivitz/Mecklenburg. Schottke is an internationally sought-after sound director and Tonmeister in the field of contemporary electroacoustic music and its media extensions. He has performed at the Ruhrtriennale, the Avignon Festival, the Auckland Arts Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, Santiago a Mil, ICOM Kyoto, Beethovenfest Bonn, Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, Wien Modern, ECLAT, Achtbrücken, and Ultraschall, among others.
He works closely with Ensemble Resonanz, as well as with Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Klangforum Wien, Lemi Ponifasio / MAU, Sir Simon Rattle, Ingo Metzmacher, Thomas Hengelbrock, and many others.
Since 2008, he has worked as a freelance Tonmeister for the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe, where he produces concerts and recordings with composers and musicians, often focusing on multichannel spatial audio.
