The experimental music festival will take place in November, and this week it kicks off the pre-sessions with a concert and wine tasting by Neus Estarellas at Bodega Ribas.
The “main event” will be held in autumn, between 14 and 23 November, but the Festival of Electronic Music, Mixed Music, Hybridisations, Installations, Connectivity and Contemporary Creation (ME_MMIX) is already getting started with a series of “pre-events” that will take place in unique venues across the islands.
These concerts will showcase the festival’s lineup and connect the ME_MMIX concept with experiences linked to the land, the senses, lived moments, performing arts and contemporary art.
The first of these concerts will take place this Friday, 18 July, at Bodega Ribas (Consell).
Everything will begin at 6:45 PM with a tour of the winery. The concert and wine tasting will start at 7:30 PM. This first proposal of Las Prévias del ME_MMIX will feature Mallorcan pianist and sommelier Neus Estarellas. The artist will perform part of her usual repertoire – pieces by Luciano Berio, Raquel García-Tomás, Anna Korsun and Baltasar Samper – combining it with a blind tasting, merging it with her second passion: wine (tickets available on Ticketib).
Las Prévias del ME_MMIX will continue with events at Teatre Principal de Inca, Museu de Mallorca, Espai Cortana, among others.
In addition, ME_MMIX is shaping a future collaboration with the Hauser & Wirth Menorca space, on Illa del Rei (Maó), and with other venues and festivals in Formentera and Ibiza. Las Prévias will conclude on 25 October with an event/concert presenting the ME_MMIX Festival programme at Es Baluard Museum.
