The Mallorcan pianist is passionate about the avant-garde, contemporary music, and multidisciplinarity. Flexibility, curiosity, energy, motivation, and enthusiasm make Neus Estarellas a highly sought-after pianist and performer.

Neus performs as a soloist and chamber/ensemble musician in venues and festivals such as Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Festival Éclat Stuttgart, Palau de la Música Catalana, Resonant Bodies Festival New York, Wien Modern Festival, Contemporary Music Festival in Aalborg (Denmark), Achtbrücken Festival Cologne, Auditorio Reina Sofía, Theaterhaus Stuttgart, L’Auditori de Barcelona, Stadttheater Gießen, Fondation Bullukian Lyon, and Villa Elisabeth Berlin.

Her interest in unique instruments such as the theremin and toy piano, as well as in performance and music theatre, has led her to create staged concerts under the direction of dramaturges such as H. Goebbels, P. Schimanski, and I. Kranabetter, and to perform at the Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik Festival and in museums such as ZKM Karlsruhe and Futurium Museum Berlin.

She is a member of the contemporary music ensembles Suono Mobile Global and Mobile Beats, and collaborates with many others such as Ensemble Ascolta Stuttgart, Garatge Ensemble in Cologne, Crossing Lines in Barcelona, and Ensemble Modus Novus in Madrid. A large part of her career is dedicated to working closely with composers such as M. Spahlinger, B. Furrer, B. Lang, I. Poppe, M. Maierhof, L. Codera, P. Ablinger, and M. Marcoll.

Pianists N. Hodges, U. Wiget, and K. Gerstein, the Ensemble Modern Frankfurt, and her artistic residencies in Paris and Frankfurt have had a special influence on her professional development. Likewise, Neus has been awarded more than twenty times in various competitions such as the Karlsruher Wettbewerb für Zeitgenössische Musik, DAAD, Primer Palau Prize Barcelona, Manresa Music Prize, Arjau, Art Jove, Rotary Club Palma de Mallorca Competition, Vila de Capdepera International Piano Competition, and Ciutat de Palma International Piano Competition, among others.

She has also recorded for Catalunya Ràdio, ORF, SWR, Radio Nacional de España, HR, and DeutschlandRadio.

On a pedagogical level, she directs the Contemporary Music for Piano Department at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg, and teaches at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands.
